Encore une attaque contre la liberté d’expression. Cette fois, c’est la chaîne francophone TV5 Monde qui est victime. Heureusement il n’y avait pas de morts, mais c’était un piratage sans précédent qui a eu lieu mercredi soir, qui a empêché la diffusion de programmes et laissé le site Internet ravagé. Les réseaux sociaux de la chaîne ont aussi été hackés.
Les attaquants ont détourné le slogan Je suis Charlie en affichant le titre Je suis ISIS (l’État Islamique).D’après le Premier ministre Manuel Valls, c’était une atteinte inacceptable à la liberté d’information et d’expression. C’est un peu tôt pour savoir exactement quelles seront les ramifications de ce cyberterrorisme, mais si les guerres des années à venir vont se jouer dans le cyberespace, plutôt que sur le champ de bataille, est-ce que ça serait un mauvais résultat ?

CYBER ATTACK ON TV5 MONDE
Another attack on freedom of expression. This time it’s the francophone channel TV5 Monde which is the victim. Happily there were no deaths, but it was an unprecedented act of piracy which took place on Wednesday evening , which prevented programmes from being broadcast and which devastated the website. The channel’s social networks were also hacked.
The attackers hijacked the slogan ‘Je suis Charlie’ (I am Charlie) by posting the title ‘Je suis ISIS’ (Islamic State). According to Prime Minister Manuel Valls, it was ‘an unacceptable attack on freedom of information and expression’. It’s a little early to know exactly what the ramifications of this cyber terrorism will be, but if the wars of coming years are played out in cyberspace, rather than on the battlefield, would this be a bad outcome?
