Un changement de la loi française en 1993 a permis le libre choix du nom de votre enfant, à moins que le nom ne soit pas contraire aux intérêts de l’enfant. Mais il paraît que le nom choisi par un couple Valenciennois poussait le bouchon un peu loin. Un jugement récent a déclaré que le nom du chocolat à tartiner Nutella pourrait engendrer la moquerie ou des remarques désobligeantes. La petite fille s’appellera désormais Ella.
Selon La Voix du Nord, un autre couple qui cherchait l’originalité avait choisi le nom Fraise. Le tribunal a décidé que ce nom pourrait tenter d’autres enfants à employer l’expression ramène ta fraise, un idiotisme populaire qui veut dire s’immiscer, interrompre. Apparemment on l’a rebaptisé Fraisine, un nom populaire au dix-neuvième siècle.
En 2013, la mère d’un petit garçon de trois ans a été acquitté d’avoir soutenu le terrorisme. Son fils s’appelait Jihad et il portait un T-shirt inscrit Je suis une bombe et sa date de naissance, le 11 septembre.
Que signifie un nom ? Est-ce que Nutella est un nom convenable pour une jeune fille ? Qu’en pensez-vous ?

A NAME WHICH TELLS ITS OWN STORY

But it seems that the name chosen by a couple from Valenciennes was going a bit too far. A recent judgement stated that the name of the popular spread Nutella could engender mockery or adverse remarks. From now on, the little girl will be called Ella.
According to the ‘Voix du Nord’ newspaper, another couple looking for an original name chose ‘Fraise’ (strawberry). The court decided that this name could tempt other children to use the expression ‘ramène ta fraise’, a popular idiom which means to interrupt or butt in. Apparently she was re-named ‘Fraisine’, a name which was popular in the nineteenth century.
In 2013, the mother of a three year-old boy was acquitted of supporting terrorism. Her son was called ‘Jihad’ and he was wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with ‘I’m a bomb’ and his date of birth, 11 September.
