La chanson humanitaire Do They Know It’s Christmas ? a été ressuscité par Bob Geldorf et ses amis-chanteurs pour lutter contre le virus Ebola. Selon l’opinion générale, le single fait un tabac et a vite collecté plus d’un million de livres.
On se demande si la version française va connaître un tel succès. L’adaptation francophone du tube, écrit par Geldorf en 1984, sera enregistrée par Carla Bruni, femme de l’ex-Président de la République, en personne. Pour l’aider à récolter des fonds, un parterre de stars chantera Noël est Là avec elle, parmi eux, Vanessa Paradis, Thomas Dutronc et le rappeur Joeystarr.
Tous les bénéfices des ventes iront à l’association Band Aid pour lutter contre l’épidémie en Afrique de l’Ouest. La chanson du top-model devenue chanteuse et ses amis sortira le 1er décembre.
On est tenté de réfléchir que le come-back de l’ancienne première dame sera quand même plus facile que celui de son époux ….

The humanitarian song ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas ?’ has been resurrected by Bob Geldorf and his singer friends to fight against the Ebola virus. By all accounts, the single is a big success and has quickly raised more than a million pounds.
You wonder whether the French version will be as successful. The francophone adaptation of the hit written by Geldorf in 1984 will be recorded by none other than Carla Bruni, the wife of French ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy. To help her raise money, a select group of stars will sing ‘Christmas is Here’ with her, including Vanessa Paradis, Thomas Dutronc and the rapper Joeystarr.
All the profits from sales will go to the Band Aid organisation, to fight against the epidemic in West Africa. The song by the top model turned singer and her friends will be released on the 1st of December.
It’s tempting to think that the ex-first lady’s comeback is bound to be easier than that of her husband….
